Mary Laker told in 1983 of her family who came from the rural area of Kent around Tenterden and Ashford where her father`s blacksmiths forge was situated. This is a lovely story of those quieter days in the Kent countryside. There is a charming portfolio of photographs within its 122 pages. She followed this book with `Kentish Memories` and `For the Love of Kent` both now out of print unfortunately.
